I can hardly believe I have an 8 year old child. I feel so grateful to be Ethan's mother. I know he took his baptism day very seriously and was very excited to get baptized. I didn't realize how special it really meant to me until the actual baptism. I can't really describe the feelings...., joy, sweetness, a sense of a loss of childhood, responsible, importance, special, proud, and happy.
His grandma McLeod and Aunt Mackenzie spoke at his baptism. His Grandma Schreck, Aunt Cheryl, Grandpa McLeod, Aunt Silvia, Uncle Justin, cousins Lexi and London and a lot of friends were there to support him.
On Sunday after church Ethan said to me in the car. "I got baptized today." I wasn't sure what he was talking about. I said, "you were baptized on Saturday". He said, "no I took the sacrament today and that is just like getting baptized". It was a concept I really didn't understand until I was an adult. Thanks Mackenzie for giving such a great talk, where he learned something new, and he remembered it.
Love you Ethan.

Ethan looks so grown up! And congratulations to him on his baptism. I can't believe he is 8. Every time I see him it reminds of the time you let me crash on your couch for awhile in Provo. He was such a little guy then:)
